The General Authority for Retirement and Social Security participated in the 40th meeting of the GCC Standing Technical Committee for Civil Retirement and Social Security, which was hosted by the Kuwait General Authority for Social Security, and was devoted to discussing the developmental proposals for the work of the committee, developments in the application of the unified system to extend security protection to citizens of the GCC, and study the reform of fund systems.

The Authority was represented at the meeting by the Director of Customer Management, and member of the committee, Mr. Ali Abdullah Al Kuwari, who pointed out that the participating members, discussed the preparation of a unified evaluation of the system, and reviewed the mechanisms of development, and statistical indicators of the numbers of GCC labor working in the GCC States.

They continued to implement the resolutions issued by the recent meetings of the esteemed heads of the agencies.

According to Mr. Al Kuwari, members of the committee reviewed the legal procedures binding the employers to pay the unpaid outstanding contributions; they recommended the necessity of enforcing them, as well as the latest developments in the design of the training programs and the competencies of the trainers required by their agencies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the representatives of the agencies discussed the work plan of the committee of the agencies heads, the tasks of the international liaison team, arrangements for the unified media campaign, and other topics related to the nature of the work of the GCC pension agencies.
